This site is of immense historical value and also offers visitors stunning views of the picturesque surrounding areas. Soaring high above the Mornington Peninsula Arthur it can be recognized from afar. Its 314 meters summit can be reached by road, chair lift or foot. On a clear day the view extends as far as the city skyline, the You Yangs and Mount Macedon
There is plenty to do here. Once there, visitors can climb the 1934 art deco viewing tower, tour the gallery of local ceramic artist Marilyn Richards or visit the Seawinds botanical garden with its collection of native orchids. There are also five acres of grassland to picnic on, children's playgrounds, barbecue facilities and restaurants.
Revel in the glory of nature when you visit the park. The park is a protected habitat for many species of birds and animals including koalas, kangaroos, ringtail and brushtail possums, honeyeaters, lorikeets and eastern rosellas.Vegetation varies from sheoak and messmate woodland on the northern slopes to manna gum and swamp gum forests.
Admission: Adults AUD8; children AUD6.
Hours: 11:00 - 5:00 pm Mon- Fri, 11:00 - 5:30 pm on Saturday, 11:00 - 6:00 pm on Sunday.
