Matteo's is a food buff's delight. It brings you high quality cuisine in a friendly atmosphere. Operating for the last 10 years, it offers you a modern European menu and attracts a steady stream of patrons. Contemporary décor blend with traditional features in this eating joint. Huge floral decorations are sprinkled all over the place adding to its charm. Tables are clad in spotlessly white tablecloth with immaculately clad waiters in black and white hover over you.

Located in a Victorian terrace on North Fitzroy's Brunswick street, it offers a laid back dinning experience. It brings to you a plethora of dishes. Dishes include the popular twice cooked Barossa Muscovy duck breast, along with entrees featuring creative spins with lamb and venison.

Some of the dishes make for sharing. You can begin with small starters, which includes a tempura of Lebanese eggplant or the air- dried wagyu beef. On Sunday's it's the 'Tavola', a banquet style lunch designed for groups to share. The extensive wine list compromises both Australian and imported varieties or you can BYO with corkage.

Hours: Lunch: Noon- 2:30p daily; Dinner: 6p- 10p daily.
