St. Kilda Film Festival

This festival presents you a bonanza of films. Though not as important as the Melbourne Film Festival, it nevertheless is as popular and presents the best in International cinema. Spanning over six days it acts as a platform to unearth new talent in cinema.

St Kilda Film Festival is Australia's longest running short film festival. The Festival has a number of components including Australia's Top 100 Short Film Competition, the SoundKILDA Music Video Competition, an International Program, Industry Open Day and various Industry Forums.

The St Kilda Film Festival screens 100 Australian short films in all genres including drama, comedy, documentary, animation and digital media. The short film competition awards over ,000 worth of cash and in- kind craft awards, including a ,000 prize for Best Short Film – the highest cash prize in the country!
