Retro Cafe

It is one of the most popular cafes in Melbourne. Steeped in old world charm, it boasts of high ceilings, wooden floors and original red brick walls, candelabras and comfortable floral sofas and floor to ceiling windows. The glass wall has an inbuilt waterfall which simply takes your breath away. Reminiscent of the 1950s, this café takes you on a nostalgic trip down memory lane, with its laminex tables and chairs, lounges and lamp shades.

The menu is constantly evolving, but breakfasts are a specialty and the usual Brunswick Street café fare is present. There is a non- smoking area and an upstairs function room for private parties.

Its hallmark is its superb all day breakfast which is served when you crave for it. There is something satisfying about digging into bacon, eggs and buttermilk pancakes at four in the afternoon.

The splendid dinning room upstairs is the perfect place to host an event. They boast of a banquet table capable of seating 40 to 70 guests and up to 100 guests can be accommodated on an assortment of smaller tables. As a cocktail, exhibition or performance area, the room can hold up to 200 guests.
