The Arts Center is the focal point of Melbourne's cultural life. The Arts Centre, at the beginning of the St Kilda Road Boulevard, is Melbourne's main arts, music and theatre complex.

The complex consists of two main buildings. You can recognize one of them from afar owing to its 162 meters spire which lights up the sky. Located in the building beneath the tower are three theatres: State Theatre, Playbox Theatre and the George Fairfax Studio. In the second building is the Hamer Hall (previously Melbourne Concert Hall). There are cafes at both venues. Nestling in the King's Domain is Melbourne's famous outdoor concert venue, the Sidney Myer Music Bowl.

You can explore the George Adams Gallery and the Performing Arts museum. Major artists flock to Hammer Hall which is also the base for the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. There is a variety of cuisine available at various eating joints in the complex which not only satiates your hunger but whets your appetite for more.

Admission is free unless attending a show.

Hours: 8:30a- last show daily.
Payment Method : Visa, Master Card, American Express, Diners, Bank Card.
