Scienceworks Museum

The museum with its hands on exhibits showcases the miracles of science. This museum, teaches you a fun and amusing way to learn about the glories of science. It enhances the mind and serves to stimulate your curiosity.

Enjoy the educational playgrounds including the Pirate Ship, Steam Train, and Science Adventure. Wheelchair access is also provided throughout the site.

It is located in Booker Street Spotswood, 5km from the centre of Melbourne at the western end of the West Gate Bridge (Melways 56 B1).

Scienceworks hosts a remarkable range of exhibits including the Planetarium, Spotswood Pumping Station and Stayin' Alive. Visitors can compare their strength and stamina with famous Olympians (such as Cathy Freeman), explore the intricacies of the human body, take an interstellar trip where no man has gone before or wander through the huge range of permanent and temporary exhibits.

Admission: Adults AUD9; children AUD4.50; concession AUD7; family of four AUD23.

Hours: 10a- 4.30p daily (closed Christmas Day & Good Friday).
