One of the most popular museums in Australia, it is located at a 15 minute drive from the center of Melbourne. The museum effectively blends a fusion of the indoor and outdoor environments and brings to you the best in contemporary art.

An idyllic resort. it is renowned for its award winning architecture and picturesque gardens. This museum also has a rich cultural heritage and social history.

The museum was once the home of art patrons John and Sunday Reed, it now serves as a platform to encourage budding artists as a mark of respect to them. From the period between 1930- 1950, it served as a sanctuary to artists and intellectuals who gathered here.
It attracted leading exponents of Australian modernism such as Sidney Nolan, Albert Tucker and Joy Hester.

Following massive renovations, Heide has once more thrown open its doors to the public. New features include the Albert & Barbara Tucker Gallery, Kerry Gardner & Andrew Myer Pojrect Gallery, renovated Heide III Central Galleries and the Tony & Cathie Hancy Sculpture Plaza.
